Dr Yusuf Lalkhen

Dr Lalkhen is an experienced Educational Psychologist with many years experience in the Educational Department as well as in Private Practice. He holds both local and International qualifications and experience.
Dr Lalkhen can assist with psycho-educational service to children and adolescents with a range of barriers to learning. These include scholastic, cognitive, emotional, ADD & ADHD, behavioural, social, and neurological difficulties.
He also has extensive experience with learners with physical, sensory, cognitive and neurological needs, eg. Autism, epilepsy and cerebral palsy. He is able to perform psychometric assessments for all these mentioned difficulties, as well as school readiness for Pre-School children and Career Guidance to High School and University students.
He is also able to perform assessments of learners with barriers to learning requiring examination concessions and exemptions. Dr Lalkhen has a special interests in children and adolescents presenting with anxiety and depression and assists with psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families, as well as Marital Counselling and Post-divorce Counselling.
